SAN FERNANDO, Calif. — Honey’s Place has added new features to its wholesale ecommerce website, HoneysPlace.com.
Since the launch of the redesigned website in February, HoneysPlace.com says it has continued to improve and add features to enhance the order process for both brick and mortar retail customers and e-commerce customers.
“Honey’s Place has had an online presence since 2005,” said Bonnie Feingold, Honey’s Place president and CEO. “Over the years, it has enjoyed great success. Going beyond merely selling products, HoneysPlace.com offers features that no one else offers. The website improvements focused on streamlining the ordering process, providing data back to our customers in real time, having more detailed notifications and so much more.”
Among the new features are custom data feeds. “Our drop-ship customers have been asking for product data feeds that can be customized — we listened, and now custom data feeds are available,” the company said. “Customers can create as many custom feeds as they wish, and retrieve them in XML, CSV or JSON formats. The product feeds have all the product data included, including image references, all category data, MAP, MSRP, wholesale and customer pricing.”
Woo commerce data feeds also have been added. “WooCommerce is an eCommerce plugin that helps an online retailer sell anything on your WordPress blog,” the company said. “Honey's Place offers a WooCommerce-compatible product data feed that is fully customizable for manufacturers and/or categories, so you can update the products on your site with minimal effort.”
Through customer feedback, Honey’s Place has also improved its product reports. According to the company, “these reports now include products that have MAP pricing, new product releases during the last 90 days and an out of stock report that is now easier to read.”
HoneysPlace.com customers can now download unshipped orders from Amazon, and import the file directly into their account. “Each order can be fulfilled is then displayed for the customer to approve or cancel,” the company said. “Any order that Honey's Place cannot fulfill due to not having a product or inventory can be downloaded back in the original Amazon file format. If the customer is using their own SKU's on Amazon, the website is sophisticated enough to look up the product instead by the UPC number.”
Honey’s Place now has the ability to set up different roles for a buyer and for a manager. A buyer role will be able to create the order. The manager role will be able to finalize and submit the order. After a buyer submits an order the manager will receive an email notification to approve the order. They will be able to log into their account, view the order, make any necessary revisions and submit the order.
A second email notification will be generated as soon as the order transmitted into our system. This notification will be sent to both the manager and to the Honey’s Place account manager.
Honey’s Place is now directly linked to all of the major carriers. “As soon as a package is closed in our warehouse, an email is generated in real time to the customer letting them know it was processed, and will provide our customer with the tracking number,” the company said. “Want to know when an order is delivered to your customer (or to your store?) just sign up for email alerts. Honey’s Place will poll the carrier for you, and send you an email letting you know your packages were delivered. If there was a signature required on the package; you will be notified as to who signed for it.”
Erik Van Riper, Honey’s Place director of technology, said, “We have many more features being worked on, it is an exciting time for us to be able to provide such innovative and useful features to our customers. If you haven't logged into our website in a while, give it a try! We are happy to hear any and all feedback about features we have, or that you need to help your business grow.”
