LOS ANGELES — With the general election less than two weeks away, the No on Prop 60 campaign is moving into overdrive to get its message out.
Mike Stabile, communications director for the Free Speech Coalition, reports that the Free Speech Coalition's Siouxsie Q “demolished” Dr. Gary Richwald from the Yes on Prop 60 campaign on Wednesday in a 30-minute early-morning debate on Bay Area radio station KPFA.
Just last week Siouxsie Q, along with industry attorney Karen Tynan, battled Adam Cohen and Derrick from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the sponsor of Prop 60, on Bay Area radio station KGO.
Another staunch advocate of No on Prop 60, adult star Julia Ann, discussed Prop 60 on The Ryan Kelley Morning After and the Mo Radio Show. Stabile called Ann and her efforts “unstoppable.”
In print, numerous efforts were made this week to make voters aware of the dangers of Prop 60, including:
- Adult star Mia Li’s No on Prop 60 op-ed in the San Diego Union-Tribune;
- Adult star Chanel Preston’s piece in the Sacramento News & Review about our would-be porn czar.
- UCSB's Constance Penley, writing in the Santa Barbara Independent; and,
- A piece in Uproxxx on the initiative, featuring Vivid co-founder Steven Hirsch, adult star Chanel Preston and another half dozen others.
Stabile also said that the latest newspaper endorsement from the Oroville Mercury-Register now upped the number of No on Prop 60 backings to 40.
He also noted that adult star Tasha Reign's campus tour over Prop 60 “continues to turn heads politically.”
