Mara Epstein Joins Private Label Firm Apogee, Seeks Partners

LOS ANGELES, Calif. Industry vet Mara Epstein has joined Apogee, a family-owned manufacturer, to offer adult companies, retailers and adult performers the opportunity to develop their own branded product line.

Operating out of a factory in China with more than 200 employees, Apogee says it currently manufactures for some of the industry’s top brands. The private label firm is now looking to expand with the addition of Epstein to its executive team.

With decades of sales and marketing experience under her belt, Epstein is a reputable industry figure who’s developed globally successful brands. In 2014, Epstein was recognized for her knowledgeable, hands-on approach to brand development when she was named Businesswoman of the Year at the inaugural XBIZ Exec Awards.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the Apogee team,” Epstein said. “The name of the company says it all — we are dedicated to delivering the peak of performance. My industry knowledge and understanding of U.S. market can be a major asset to companies and individuals that are interested in marketing their own pleasure products.”

In her new role, Epstein says she will serve as the eyes and ears for her clients, providing quality control and brand protection overseas. With the growing problem of counterfeit sex toys, Epstein says will offer her clients peace of mind by keeping a watchful eye on the Chinese market, and will travel to offer representation on-location overseas.

Apogee’s family-own manufacturing plant produces high-quality, body-safe toys that appeal to all demographics, the company says. Epstein says she is looking to partner with adult industry entrepreneurs, retailers and adult performers looking to grow their brand.

Apogee also offers a wide selection of affordable stock items, including simple, basic toys.
