SAN FRANCISCO — The Center for Sex & Culture and Good Vibrations have planned a No on Prop 60 info night for adult performers, content producers and the general public.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in San Francisco, will be held just days prior to the general election on the following Tuesday.
"Many participants in the adult industry are targeted by this ballot initiative helmed by a well-known anti-porn activist," said Carol Queen, the Center for Sex & Culture’s director and cofounder.
"We are honored to be able to host a discussion about this proposed law and hope that curious voters will come hear these important legal and industry perspectives," Queen said.
The California initiative seeks to require condoms for all vaginal and anal porn scenes, along with other requirements.
The event will debrief attendees on what is Prop 60, how would it impact stakeholders and how can they can stop it in the remaining days of the election.
Attorneys Alex Austin and Karen Tynan will join Verta of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee, adult film producer Shine Louise Houston, and porn performer Jiz Lee to address questions from the industry and others.
The free event will be held at 1349 Mission St. in San Francisco on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. . Donations will be accepted to defray cost of the venue.
