LOS ANGELES — LA Weekly writer Dennis Romero spotlighted adult star and UCLA alumni Tasha Reign’s “No on 60” college campus tour, in an article titled “Porn Star Visits Colleges to Decry Safe-Sex Measure.”
On Tuesday, she visited UC Santa Barbara to speak out against Proposition 60’s flawed approach to enforcing condom-only shoots in the adult film industry.
"The measure, which requires condoms in all pornographic film shoots within the state, opens up new problems for adult performers already struggling with privacy issues, discrimination and harassment," Reign said. "As a result, film production — which brings millions of dollars to California — will be forced out of state to somewhere more willing to enjoy the industry's revenue."
Romero examines the legal implications of Proposition 60, as well as contextualizing its genesis in regards to Measure B and previous court rulings.
"This will allow random civilians to have personal access to my home address if they want to sue because of their puritanical agenda," Reign explained. "I thought if I can get on college campuses that maybe I can at least get to a few people have a better understanding of Proposition 60."
