"CineKink: Chicago" will begin at 7 p.m. with a screening of the shorts program, “Best of CineKink/2016,” followed by the feature “Schnick Schnack Schnuck” at 9 p.m. Both screenings will take place at the Leather Archives and Museum (6418 N. Greenview Ave.).
"Best of CineKink/2016" is a collection of "sexy shorts deemed the best" during CineKink's most recent festival run. This year's assortment, with works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit, includes "An Appointment With My Master" (Erika Lust), "Pepper" (Patrick Aubert), "Dad in Mum" (Fabrice Bracq), "Everybody Does It" (Megan Brotherton), "Feminist Porn Filmmakers" (Lora Hristova), "Wild Lovers" (Isabel Dresler), "I Am a Tourist I Would Like to See Him Naked"(Margie Schnibbe), "Locked" (René de Sans and Mamana) and "RITES" (BunnyZ).
Then, the festival's 2016 audience choice award winner, "Schnick Schnack Schnuck," offers a playful take on sex, jealousy, love, relationships, monogamy and polyamory. Described as "a refreshingly up-to-date and sun-dappled homage to 1970s porn," this charming farce follows the erotic misadventures of a young couple, Felix and Emmi, when they set out to spend a weekend apart. The German title was directed by Maike Brochhaus and released in 2015, running 84 minutes in length.
Admission to the event is $10 at the door, with an $8 advance per screening or $15 advance for both. Only people 18 years of age and older will be admitted.
