The annual fundraising walk on Oct. 23 begins at 10 a.m. at Grand Park, 200 N. Grand Ave. Los Angeles 90012, in Downtown L.A.
Team Wicked reports that last year, it raised $15,416, for a total of nearly $70,000 over the last four years for the event benefiting AIDS charities. This year, Team Wicked aims to raise $25,000 and so far has raised more than $11,450, making it second among all teams participating. As team leader, drake herself has exceeded her personal goal and has raised over $5,000 to the effort for sixth place among individual walkers. “Team Wicked has been doing AIDS Walk Los Angeles for the last four years and it’s always amazing to see everyone come together," drake said. "What started off as me walking solo in celebration of my birthday got way bigger as we quickly reached Gold Team status.
