Pre-Production Underway for Axel Braun's 'Justice League XXX'

Pre-Production Underway for Axel Braun's 'Justice League XXX'

LOS ANGELES — In honor of Batman Day today, Wicked Pictures has announced that pre-production is officially underway for "Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody," the next release from its Wicked Comix imprint.

“I’ve been wanting to shoot this movie for as long as I can remember,” Braun stated. “It was actually supposed to be my very first superhero porn parody. I wrote a script for it in 2007 when George Miller was going to direct 'Justice League: Mortal' with Armie Hammer as Batman, but after that fell apart due to the Writers Guild strike, I decided to go full '60s camp with 'Batman XXX,' which in retrospect was a pretty good idea given the enormous success it had. Now that the Zack Snyder movie is finally bringing the DC universe together, it’s finally time to do the same with my porn parody continuum!”

The news comes as images leaked from the project's mainstream inspiration, featuring Ben Affleck in the new Tactical Batsuit, are raising the ire of fans who claim the design looks too similar to the Night Owl character from director Zack Snyder's earlier — and unrelated — adaptation of the graphic novel Watchmen.

“I am actually among the minority of people who happened to like Watchmen, but yeah that tactical suit is awful!” Braun said with a laugh. “All I can say is that what I have in store for Batman’s costume in JLX is definitely more interesting and appropriate, not to mention brutally awesome, and I’m sure the fans will love it."

While full cast details have not been announced yet, roles already cast include Ryan Driller, returning in his career-defining role as Superman for the seventh time, and Charles Dera in his third outing as Batman.

With Braun once again lending his meticulous perfectionism and comic-geek cred to the superhero genre, fans can look forward to spectacular special effects, costumes and sex scenes.

"Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody" will be released in the second half of 2017. For domestic sales, contact Bonnie Kail at (800) 737-7838 or bonnie@wickedpictures.com. For international sales, contact Steven Vlottes at (818) 349-3593 or mrvlottes@wickedpictures.com.
