VALENCIA, Calif. — Director B. Skow has announced the release of his new drama, "Color Blind," the first scene of which is now available via his official membership site BSkow.com. An additional scene will be revealed each Friday on Sept. 23, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7. The two-disc DVD set will be available on the Girlfriends Films Distribution website beginning Sept. 19, and in stores nationwide on Sept. 23.
“Color Blind” tells the tale of a young blind girl from an all-American, blue-collar family (Kasey Warner) who falls in love with an idealistic young black man (Isiah Maxwell) during the Los Angeles Riots of the ‘90s. The first scene stars Reena Sky and Steven St. Croix. Completing the cast are Jovan Jordan, Layton Benton and Adriana Chechik.
Skow was inspired to create a film that not only stimulates in the traditional sense of hardcore moviemaking, but also provides a heightened awareness of the reality experienced by people of all races and abilities.
“When the idea came to me, I was exploring the notion that people who are visually impaired often experience an intensifying of their other senses — touch, taste, smell and how that would affect them sexually,” Skow said. “Then, when you take it a step further, exploring that which you can’t see, then you can really begin to break down any walls and preconceived notions based on appearance."
For those looking for the complete “Color Blind” experience, the two-disc DVD edition will feature the full-length film on Disc One. Disc Two will carry Skow’s signature private interviews of each starlet along with four bonus clips: Marie McCray and Steven St. Croix in "Truth Be Told," Dillion Harper and Richie Calhoun in "Southern Hospitality," threesome Riley Reid, Capri Cavanni and Ryan McLane from "Daddy’s Girls 2" and Kasey Warner with Seth Gamble in a scene from "In The Flesh."
