ASACP to Attend The European Summit

PRAGUE — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to Prague, Czech Republic for The European Summit, to be held Sept. 20-23 at the Park Hotel Praha.

The European Summit (TES) is a leading B2B conference for the online adult industry, bringing together a diverse group of adult and digital media operators that represent dozens of countries around the world for networking, seminars, socializing and more.

“Being the father of a six-year-old boy myself, I fully understand the benefits which ASACP’s Restricted To Adults (RTA) website labeling system provides to parents with young children,” said Andreas Bischoff, promoter for TES. “Therefore, we are a strong supporter of ASCAP and its goals, and would like to see our clients join forces with ASACP as well.”

For 2016, the European Summit’s producers are continuing their long-time support of the association by providing ASACP with sponsor status, including a complimentary hotel room and show badge, plus premium banner placement, an ad in the event’s show guide, and a banner on the TES homepage, other exposure on the event website and an exhibitor listing in TES’ mobile event app.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, according to a spokesperson, “will attend the event to further the association’s international outreach efforts by meeting with relevant stakeholders to educate them about the ways, means and necessity of protecting children on the Internet.”

Henning said, “The European Summit’s promoters make it possible for ASACP to reach a prominent audience of adult industry operators from both eastern and western Europe, and beyond. This provides the association with a unique opportunity for reaching global digital media companies and explaining how ASACP’s Restricted To Adults (RTA) website labeling system, Best Practices and a professional Code of Ethics help businesses protect themselves by protecting children.”

ASACP is also conducting the first sponsorship campaign in its 20-year history by reaching out to the adult industry in hopes of receiving immediate additional funding. As part of this membership drive, Henning will host a special session at TES titled, “ASACP Needs YOUR Vital Help and Support Now!”

The discussion will detail how the industry’s child protection efforts protect businesses, and how responsible corporate partners can support these crucial efforts. It is set for Thurs., Sept. 22 from 10-10:50 a.m. in the hotel’s Roomburak Seminar Room.

The sponsors of TES, according to ASACP, “are among the caring companies extending their support to ASACP during the association’s current time of need, as it grapples with a smaller budget amidst the increasing costs of fulfilling its mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment.”

Helping to spread this message at TES is the YNOT Group, which ASACP said is “generously supporting ASACP’s fundraising efforts through its YNOT Karting Grand Prix on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 6-9 p.m., and at the YNOT Awards Show, on Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 6:30-10:30 p.m., where an ASACP funding drive video will be shown.”

“As always it’s a pleasure for YNOT to see ASACP at the shows and see the continued outpouring of industry support,” said Jay Kopita, co-owner of the YNOT Group. “Their mission continues to be important and highly relevant after all these years in an ever-changing industry, and we greatly appreciate the work they do.”

One anonymous benefactor, according to ASACP, “has fully underwritten Henning’s flights to this year’s European events, enabling him to attend these important industry events, and demonstrating how the industry takes child protection and doing the right thing seriously.”

“In an act of true charity, a very generous person has selflessly offered to be a silent sponsor for my flights,” Henning said. “This person wants no public recognition for this, and we are very grateful for this crucial support at a time when we need it the most.”

Founded in 1996, ASACP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to online child protection.
