ASACP Ready for XBIZ Berlin

ASACP Ready for XBIZ Berlin

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its participation in the inaugural XBIZ Berlin webmaster conference.

Presented by TrafficPartner and its family of leading industry brands, XBIZ Berlin is set for Sept. 11-14 at the Catalonia Berlin Mitte Hotel at 80-82 Köpenicker Strasse, where European industry leaders will gather with peers from around the world for a full slate of educational, networking and social events.

An evolution of XBIZ’s annual European show, now hosted in a new city, the event is an ideal venue for ASACP to deliver its message of corporate responsibility — showing businesses how to protect themselves by protecting children, while maintaining a voice in t he ongoing process of determining the future of online adult.

The promoters of XBIZ Berlin have generously provided ASACP with complimentary event registration and hotel accommodations, along with a table at the popular “Mix & Meet” networking session.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning will be in attendance at the event, where he will represent the association, and be on hand to answer questions regarding ASACP, child protection, and industry advocacy in the U.K. and EU, during the audience Q&A portion of XBIZ Berlin’s legal panel, and during the Mix & Meet. Henning will also be available for one-on-one consultations with interested firms.

“The inaugural XBIZ Berlin is one of the most highly anticipated industry events ever,” Henning says. “This is drawing in a new and expanded pan-European audience that includes companies that ASACP has not been able to reach before.”

The Mix & Meet Happy Hour is set for Monday, Sep. 12, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the hotel courtyard, while the legal panel, “Protecting Your Adult Business,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Sep. 13, from 11-11:50 a.m., in the hotel’s Konferenz II room.

The sponsors of XBIZ Berlin are among the top-tier companies that are stepping up their support of ASACP during the association’s time of need, as its declining budget is colliding with increasing costs of fulfilling its mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment.

ASACP is also conducting the first support drive in its 20-year history, and relaying the message that it is vital that it receives additional industry support now — with caring companies and individuals now beginning to heed this call, including an anonymous benefactor that fully sponsored Henning’s flights to all three European events, enabling Henning to attend these important industry events.

“In an act of true charity a very generous person has selflessly offered to be a silent sponsor for my flights,” Henning says. “This person wants no public recognition for this and we are very grateful for this crucial support at time when we need it the most.”
