Wicked Receives Long List of Nominations in NightMoves Awards

TAMPA — Wicked Pictures has received a long list of nominations in the 24th Annual NightMoves Awards, to be held in Tampa, Fla. on Sun., Oct. 9.

Brad Armstrong, Axel Braun, Stormy Daniels and Jonathan Morgan, all directors for Wicked, have received Best Director nominations. The nominations which went to Armstrong spoke to the diversity of his talents: Armstrong’s work in front of the camera was recognized in the Best Male Performer category, while his output as a filmmaker earned a Best Feature Director nomination.

A Best Feature Production nomination went to Armstrong’s jessica drake/Asa Akira drama “Starmaker,” while Armstrong’s big-budget spoof “Magic Mike XXXL: A Hardcore Parody” — also starring drake and Akira — earned a Best Parody Release nomination. And drake’s work in these features and others earned her a Best Female Performer nomination.

Braun was nominated for Best Parody Director and Best Parody Release, the latter for his multi-award winning Wicked Fairy Tales hit “Peter Pan XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.” Axel Braun Productions contract performer Carter Cruise earned Best Female Performer and Best Body nominations, while her Wicked Comix vehicle “Supergirl XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” was honored with the NightMoves “First Choice” accolade and a Best Body nomination for co-star Riley Steele.

Carter’s Braun-directed designer showcase “Cruise Control” was also nominated for Best Feature Production.

Wicked contract director Stormy Daniels’ epic western adventure “Wanted,” co-produced by Wicked and Adam & Eve, received a Best Feature Production nomination, while Daniels’ output was recognized in the Best Feature Director category. Veteran contract director and comedic specialist Jonathan Morgan also received a Best Feature Director nomination.

Wicked Pictures received a Best Production Company nomination.

Steve Orenstein, president and owner of Wicked Pictures, said, “We’re thrilled to have our directors and contract stars nominated for such a wide range of projects. We strive to create the best movies we can and appreciate NightMoves for noticing.”

In a prepared statement, event organizers for the NightMoves Awards said, “The NightMoves Awards were started in 1993 and are the third oldest continuously running adult awards show in the United States. The NightMoves Awards are an offshoot of NightMoves Magazine, owned and operated by Paul and Tracy Allen. The NightMoves Awards were the first to allow fans to select the winners, making it the original fan-based awards. They were also the first awards show to allow online voting.”
