PORTLAND — An evening of films that celebrate and explore a wide range of sexuality will screen on Tue., Aug. 9 when CineKink, billed as "the kinky film festival," returns to Portland, Ore. with CineKink: PDX.
CineKink: PDX will begin at 7 p.m. with a screening of the shorts program, "The Best of CineKink/2016," followed by the feature "Schnick Schnack Schnuck" at 9 p.m. Both screenings will take place at Portland’s Clinton Street Theater, located at 2522 SE Clinton St.
"The Best of CineKink/2016" is described as “a collection of sexy shorts deemed the best during CineKink's most recent festival run.” This year's assortment — with works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, and mildly spicy to quite explicit — includes “Pepper” from Patrick Aubert, “Dad in Mum” from Fabrice Bracq, “Everybody Does It” from Megan Brotherton, “Feminist Porn Filmmakers” from Lora Hristova, “Wild Lovers” from Isabel Dresler, “I Am a Tourist I Would Like to See Him Naked” from Margie Schnibbe, “Locked” from René de Sans and Mamana, “RITES” from BunnyZ and “An Appointment With My Master” from Erika Lust.
A spokesperson for CineKink described "Schnick Schnack Schnuck" as “a playful take on sex and jealousy, love and relationships, monogamy and polyamory. A refreshingly up-to-date and sun-dappled homage to 1970s porn, this charming farce follows the erotic misadventures of a young couple, Felix and Emmi, when they set out to spend a weekend apart.”
Directed by Maike Brochhaus in Germany in 2015, "Schnick Schnack Schnuck" runs 84 minutes.
CineKink: PDX is presented in conjunction with Oregon Leather Pride, which will run Aug. 5-14 in Portland. The CineKink festival tour is sponsored by Pure, Bowery Bliss, Crystal Delights, KinkyMedical.net, the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, Leather Archives and Museum, and njoy, with additional local support from the Mystery Box Show and She Bop.
Admission for one person is $10 at the door or $8 in advance. One must be at 18 or older to attend.
