APAC Relaunches Site With New Resources, Educational Tools

LOS ANGELES — APAC today upgraded its website to include new resources and educational tools for performers in the adult film industry.

“This new website is an important step forward for our organization,” APAC president Chanel Preston said in a release. “Not only will the site assist performers in locating industry-friendly resources like doctors, agents and lawyers, but the site includes tips on how to navigate the industry for new performers and essential information on sexual health.

“For those unable to attend our meetings, the site will also help foster community within our rapidly expanding industry.”

APAC, known officially as the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee, has had a website since the organization was first chartered as a nonprofit in 2013.

Some of the notable new information on the site includes a Performer Bill of Rights and Professional Code of Conduct, as well as a list of professionals who have achieved the “APAC Stamp,” which guarantees ethical work practices in order to protect performer’s rights and safety.

Additionally, the site includes new educational videos and presentations, which will be updated frequently.

The site also features a Members Only section that will include minutes from previous meetings for those members unable to attend in person.

APAC actively advocates to maintain and improve safety and working conditions in the adult film industry by giving adult performers organized representation in matters that affect their health, safety and community.

The organization holds meetings for its members on an every-other-month basis. The next meeting will take place in August
