LOS ANGELES — The Pleasure Chest has announced that in response to the anti-gay terrorist shooting in Orlando, Fla. over the weekend, it will be donating 10 percent of all sales on Sun., Jun. 19 to the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida — which is organizing grief counseling, medical bill assistance and community support groups.
"We are devastated and heartbroken over the senseless tragedy in Orlando this weekend," The Pleasure Chest said. "This vicious attack on the LGBTQ community is not the first we have endured. With every horrific act of violence that targets our family, we are reminded of those that came before: from Stonewall to Laramie, from San Francisco to Humboldt, and beyond. We send our love and support to the victims and their families and loved ones, and stand in solidarity with everyone affected by this act of hate and violence."
This week, the nationwide pleasure products chain will be setting up stations at all of their stores for customers to make cards voicing their support for the victims and families, which will be sent to the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida.
