AMSTERDAM — Verotel, the payment facilitator based in Amsterdam, has introduced new order pages for all of its customers.
The pages' new flat design, Verotel said, "allows customers of merchants to focus on one single aspect: completing the transaction." The new design works on every type of device, including laptops, tablets and mobile phones. And in carefully executed A/B tests, the new order pages "showed an average 11 percent conversion increase for the merchant," according to Verotel.
Alex Foster, account specialist at Verotel, said, "The reasons for the higher conversions are obvious. The new design is easier and clearer. The large Pay button invites customers to complete the transaction and move on quickly to the purchased content. It is clear that since most merchants do not ship any physical goods, there is no need for physical address fields. We know that other payment processors use the physical address for credit card holder verification, but Verotel uses other methods to verify the cardholder's real identity. With fewer fields to be completed, users leave less personal information and can complete transactions faster."
Another feature that increases conversion, Verotel said, is their unique technology for storing references to card information in a browser. The option to remember a card is enabled by default, and a reference to the card information will be stored encrypted in the cardholder's browser. The next time the cardholder visits any order page hosted by Verotel, their card information is automatically filled out, helping to complete the transaction even faster.
Building on this technology, Verotel is now working on a new feature: Verotel One-Click, which is an extension of the Verotel Flexpay API.
Verotel One-Click allows VOD, webcam and VR merchants to offer an instant purchase with one single click directly from a member's Web interface. Any existing member can simply click on the button to purchase additional content, or refill its credits.
The purchase will be processed instantly and without a redirect to a payment page. Verotel One-Click will be available beginning Jul. 1.
Merchants, according to Verotel, can customize the look and feel of the new order pages. Color changes, logo updates and more personalization options are available in the Control Center, Verotel's Web interface for merchants. With all these options, Verotel said, "merchants can provide a seamless online customer journey to pay for their goods and services."
