Mandy Farsace Named Director of Woodhull's Sexual Freedom Summit

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Woodhull Freedom Foundation has appointed Mandy Farsace as director of Woodhull's Sexual Freedom Summit. The former volunteer coordinator and assistant to President/CEO Ricci Levy will now have a hand in everything Summit-related, including coordinating and planning for the event year round.

"Mandy has been an invaluable part of the Summit's operations," Levy said. "It is because of her (that) things have run so smoothly for the past few years. Mandy is certainly the most qualified for the position, and we're all thrilled to now call her director."

Farsace joined Woodhull as volunteer coordinator in February 2014. In that position, she made sure that all presenters, volunteers and attendees were in the right place at the right time at the Sexual Freedom Summit and assisted year-round with workshop selection, sponsor solicitation and volunteer recruitment.

In addition to her work with the Summit, Farsace served as Levy's assistant, helping with day-to-day operations at Woodhull that ranged from coordinating donor acknowledgment to scheduling conference calls.

"I have loved working as a part of the Sexual Freedom Summit team for the last three years and am thrilled to be moving into the director role," Farsace said. "I look forward to continuing to make the Summit a place where all are welcomed to join us in the fight for sexual freedom as a fundamental human right."

The 2016 Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit will be held Aug. 4-7 at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. near Washington, D.C. A spokesperson for the event said, "Now in its seventh year, the focus of the Sexual Freedom Summit is the goal of the sexual freedom movement: global recognition of our fundamental human right to sexual freedom. The Summit is for everyone interested in sexual freedom, from activists, educators, students, attorneys and clinicians to people who are simply curious about how to make the world a freer place for all."
