MONTREAL — Hentai gaming website Nutaku has announced that its upcoming downloadable games store will bring together some of the biggest names in erotic anime gaming, including JAST, MangaGamer and Dharker Studio. Beginning May 17, popular titles from each of these publishers will be available for sale on the same platform and at a steeply discounted rate.
“We’re excited to partner with the creators and distributors of the world’s best adult games,” said Robert Mann, a spokesman for Nutaku. “The Nutaku store will expose our 13 million monthly visitors to entertaining, engaging and professionally animated hentai games that were previously unavailable to them without mosaics or uncensoring patches. We’re also offering developers an opportunity to reach targeted new audiences like never before.”
Nutaku’s storefront debut will launch with 17 hentai gaming titles created by development studios from around the world, ranging from fighting games like Vanguard Princess to sci-fi visual novels such as Cho Dengeki Stryker. Players’ purchases will be linked to their Nutaku profile, providing a centralized hub for downloading, playing and discussing their games.
The storefront’s opening week will feature sharp discounts on all products, with first-week sales ranging between 20-50 percent off.
Nutaku has previously been noted for its partnership with Japanese adult publisher DMM and is the sole distributor of the gaming giant’s titles outside of Japan. Their new partnership with English-speaking companies offering downloadable titles is a departure from Nutaku’s earlier Web-only model and is the forerunner of a downloadable, Steam-like client service for adult games, scheduled for release in the next quarter.
