LOS ANGELES — Jessy Dubai has received two nominations in the Transgender Erotica Awards, scheduled for March 6 at the Avalon in Hollywood.
Dubai has been nominated for Best Scene for a performance with Brock Avery and Best Hardcore Performer for her overall work.
“I’m quite thrilled to be nominated,” Dubai said. “While I am happy to be recognized by any of the industry award organizations, I’m ecstatic that one that mainly focuses on the work of transgender performers has taken notice of my work. It’s very honoring.”
Dubai has also been nominated for Hottest Transsexual Performer in Rabbits Reviews’ RISE Awards.
Voting in the RISE Awards ends on Feb. 19.
On Feb. 18, Dubai will go to Oakland, Calif. to join the Free Speech Coalition at the Cal/OSHA vote on protection use in adult films. Dubai, like the FSC, opposes the proposed legislation, which would include mandatory condom use for oral, anal and vaginal performances.
“It's important for the industry to come together,” Dubai said. “I will be attending to provide my experiences as a performer and offer support of the FSC. I encourage other talent to take part and show the industry's solidarity.”
