SAN FRANCISCO — TROUBLEfilms today said that Cinnamon Maxxine has become the “artist in residence” for the creation of a full-length film the studio will conceptualize beginning to end.
With access to Courtney Trouble’s studio equipment and a budget of $4,500, Maxxine will be able to complete “a masterfully produced person-of-color-only adult film embracing seduction, sex work, passion, and power,” TROUBLEfilms said.
“I want to focus on making porn featuring an all-POC cast, as well as showing a spectrum of genders, bodies, and body sizes and influenced a little by my work as a stripper,” Maxxine said. “I’m really looking forward to learning directing skill and doing more behind the camera.”
Maxxine will own all rights to the production materials created throughout her residency.
TROUBLEfilms, which shoots artistic and political films and is owned by Trouble, has been featuring new directors for the past six months, including Chelsea Poe (“Submissive Mixtape,” “Fucking Mystic”), April Flores (“Fat Girl Fantasies”), and Ajapornfilms (“Trans Grrrls,” “Trans Lesbians”).
Those scenes, along with Trouble’s entire catalog, can be viewed at TroubleFilms.com, or on any of the sister sites.
