LOS ANGELES — The many merits of “Marriage 2.0” were acknowledged last week in Hollywood, at the 2016 XBIZ Awards.
Produced by LionReach Productions and distributed by Adam & Eve, “Marriage 2.0” earned four trophies, including “Best Actress — Feature” for India Summer, who along with co-star Ryan Driller also won the “Best Sex Scene — Feature” award.
Also awarded was cinematographer Alex Ladd for “Best Cinematography,” while the title earned Marketing Campaign of the Year.”
The honors were presented at the annual event held on January 15 at the JW Marriott Hotel, L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles.
The awards for Summer mark her second and third XBIZ Awards, having been named “MILF Performer of the Year” in 2012.
“I am so grateful and honored to be recognized by XBIZ for my work in ‘Marriage 2.0,’” said Summer. “Thank you so much to my fellow cast, especially Ryan, who I share the ‘Best Sex Scene’ award with. And thank you to the whole crew, and to Magnus [Sullivan], who wrote a beautiful movie.”
The four awards are the most recent for “Marriage 2.0” and its team. It was named “Movie of the Year” at the 2015 Feminist Porn Awards and “Best Narrative” at the 2015 CineKink Film Festival.
The movie features sexual performances intertwined with a compelling story about a restless couple at an emotional crossroads, following a couple (India Summer and Ryan Driller) in an open relationship as they search for personal freedom, as well as emotional and sexual bliss within the context of an honest and committed modern relationship.
“We’re very pleased and grateful to receive the 2016 XBIZ Awards in these categories,” said Bob Christian, Adam & Eve’s Director of Business Development. “It’s a credit to Magnus Sullivan, director Paul Deeb, and the entire ‘Marriage 2.0’ team that created a quality film that steps outside the formula to help reshape the cinematic landscape. ‘Marriage 2.0’ shows what the industry is capable of producing, and its XBIZ Awards demonstrate critics are taking notice.”
The marketing award comes as the indie film managed to capture the attention of mainstream film reviewers and writers from Salon, Indiewire, 411Mania, and other major media sites since its world premiere on AdamAndEveTV.com last February.
“Marriage 2.0” also features performances from Dylan Ryan, Nina Hartley, and Mickey Mod, along with appearances from internationally renowned sex and relationship experts, such as Emily Morse, Chris Ryan, Marcia Baczynski, Carol Queen, and Reid Mihalko.
The video is available on DVD and includes 69 minutes of behind the scenes footage, alternate takes of scenes, movie trailers, a photo gallery, and an animated chapter index.
