LOS ANGELES — CalExotics’ female leadership, Susan Colvin and Jackie White, were recently honored with a pair of prestigious awards for industry excellence.
Colvin, CalExotics’ founder and CEO, received the Free Speech Coalition’s “Woman of the Year” award, while White, CalExotics’ EVP, received the 2016 XBIZ Exec Award for “Senior Leadership.”
Both awards were presented at the XBIZ Executive Awards dinner this past Thursday, January 14, at the Andaz Hotel in Hollywood.
The FSC “Woman of the Year” award goes to an individual who has displayed exceptional leadership qualities both within their own business and throughout the industry, and has made a significant positive contribution to the overall welfare of the adult industry.
“I am incredibly humbled to receive this award from the Free Speech Coalition,” Colvin says. “They are such a driving force in this industry; it is an honor to be recognized by them.”
“I’d also like to congratulate Jackie; there is no one more worthy of the ‘Senior Leadership Award,’” Colvin adds. “Congratulations, my friend.”
The XBIZ “Senior Leadership” Award recognizes individuals with the outstanding ability to motivate, inspire and build solidarity among all levels of personnel.
“Thank you for this award,” White says. “I dedicate this to my hardworking team, without them I would be lost.”
More than 20 years ago, Colvin started California Exotic Novelties with White as her first employee, and together they built one of the largest and most prolific pleasure products companies today. With a woman’s touch they innovated the industry, introducing products with feminine colors, female-centric products and packaging, and more.
