LOS ANGELES — Reps for AliceX.com will be showing off their new technology that combines virtual reality and live cams at this week’s 2016 XBIZ Show.
Currently beta testing in preparation of a February launch, AliceX principals are offering live demos to media, consumers and adult industry members of the in-development website at the XBIZ Show at the Andaz hotel on Wednesday and Thursday.
Utilizing a smartphone and a VR headset, AliceX transports users into a virtual room where they are face-to-face live with a “real, passionate woman,” company reps said.
“The outcome of the rendezvous is entirely up to the user,” the reps said.
AliceX is currently compatible with Android users with smartphones like Samsung S6 Edge, Nexus 5 and LG 4. Future devices will include the Oculus Rift, once it becomes available for consumers, and Apple iOS users, once its technology is updated to support AliceX, the reps said.
“Once they have a smartphone in hand, users only need a VR headset, whether they want to spend money on a higher end headset, like the Samsung Gear VR or the Zeiss VR One, or take advantage of the free cardboard headset available to anyone courtesy of AliceX,” the reps said.
“Extremely uncomplicated, AliceX users do not even need to bother with installing an app or extra software, as the service is available via AliceX.com through a web browser, like Chrome.”
On Thurday, Fabian Grey will be a panelist on the XBIZ seminar, “VR Porn: Technologies, Solutions and Realities,” at 1 p.m., while AliceX’s Greg Dumas will moderate the panel “State of the Industry: The Year Ahead” at 3 p.m.
