LOS ANGELES — Attendees at the upcoming Sexual Health Expo (SHE) on Jan. 16-17 in Los Angeles looking for a way to spice up their sex lives with anal play are in for a real treat as sex and relationship coach Charlie Glickman tackles the touchy subject in his popular “Amazing Anal Sex” seminar as part of Sex Ed sponsor The Pleasure Chest’s enlightening sex ed lineup.
The certified sexuality educator and internationally acclaimed speaker will answer the tough questions about anal sex including the best way to make sure both partners have a great time, the three key ingredients to pleasurable anal play, how to avoid common problems, important safety tips and more.
As a sex and relationship coach and a somatic sex educator, Glickman said he talks with a lot of people about their sex lives. Many of them have questions, fantasies, or concerns about anal play, and while it can be “a delicious pleasure,” it’s something that works best when folks know what they’re doing. Unfortunately, a lot of people simply copy what they see in porn and that can get them into trouble, Glickman warned, and added that learning anal sex from porn is like learning to drive from a car chase movie — someone is going to get hurt.
Glickman will talk about everything people need to know to make anal play pleasurable, exciting and safe. The educator said it’s one of his favorite things to teach because it’s the little things that make such a big difference. Plus, he said he loves helping people discover their full erotic potential, including those parts of their bodies and their sexualities that they didn’t know they’d enjoy.
And SHE is the perfect place to learn.
“The Expo is an amazing opportunity for people to find out about the latest new toys, get some great information from the educators, and meet lots of amazing sex positive folks. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking at every SHE so far and I’m really impressed with the quality of the events,” Glickman said.
As a top educator in the field, Glickman’s focus includes sex and shame, sex-positivity, queer issues, masculinity and gender, communities of erotic affiliation, and many sexual and relationship practices. He is also the co-author of “The Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure: Erotic Exploration for Men and Their Partners.”
