Mack 10 continues the “Hustle & Blow” tradition of rappers playing host. Southern rap star Slim Thug hosted the series’ second installment.
“The ‘Hustle & Blow’ series is incredibly popular,” David Diamond, Hustler Video’s national sales manager, said. “The fans loved ‘Hustle & Blow 2’ featuring Slim Thug, and we’re getting even more orders for this Mack 10 release.”
Mack 10 rose to prominence as a member of the rap trio Westside Connection, with Ice Cube and WC. He used to be married to Tionne Watkins, aka T-Boz, from R&B group TLC, and has had four singles crack the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Hustler Video was one of the first adult production companies to pair hip-hop stars with adult entertainment. The company collaborated with rap superstar Snoop Dogg for two releases, 2000’s “Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle” and 2002’s “Snoop Dogg’s Hustlaz: Diary of a Pimp.”
“Hustle & Blow 3” stars Kaleah, Ice La Fox, Alayah Sashu, Alicia Tyler and Diamond Star. The movie was directed by Shooter.
