Playa Solutions Co-Founders Settle Dispute

LOS ANGELES — Playa Solutions co-founders Jason Tucker and Oystein Wright have settled their ongoing legal dispute out of court after more than a year of negotiations.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed and are confidential.

Playa Solutions’ complaint dates back to May 9, 2005, when the company filed suit against Tucker, his wife Gail Harris and her company, Falcon Foto, Playa software programmer Chad Meyers and several unnamed John Does.

The complaint alleged that Tucker diverted payments intended for Playa of “not less than $75,000” from Protected Media LLC to himself and the other defendants.

In court papers, Playa Solutions claims, among other accusations, that Tucker had previously deleted the name of his Playa Solutions partner, Oystein Wright, from documents to make it appear as though he had full control of the company.

In the end, both parties were happy with the settlement.

“I am happy that Oystein and I were able to resolve our differences amicably,” Tucker said. “I am sorry to say that this occurred, but I am relieved that this is over and we can both move on.”

Wright added that he “was relieved that it was over.”
