LONDON — Organizers are gearing up for Saturday’s porn protest outside of Parliament in London.
Saturday’s protest comes one year after the U.K.’s Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014 took effect. The law effectively banning acts of female ejaculation, spanking, fisting, water sports and other types of strong explicit content from streaming online in the U.K.
“A year ago, a change to U.K. law banned activities such as female ejaculation and face-sitting, amongst other things, when filmed and sold by porn producers in the U.K.,” organizer Charlotte Rose said. “We protested then with a face-sitting demo, and we're back to show that this sexist and heteronormative law still needs to change.”
This year’s demonstration, called “(Pro) Porn Protest 1 Year On,” is slated for tomorrow at noon at the Old Palace Yard opposite the Palace of Westminster.
Rose said that the protest, which has an expanded speaker list, will go on for three hours at the Old Palace Yard. Afterwards, attendees will move on to a local pub in Westminster.
Hundreds attended a similar protest outside Parliament in December 2014; a similar event was held in Manchester in March.
Saturday’s expanded lineup of scheduled speakers at the Old Palace Yard include Myles Jackman, Jerry Barnett, Rose, Beth Granter, Jane Fae, Pandora Blake, Megara Furie, Stacey Clare, Laura Renvoize, Dannie-lu Carr, Ant Bridle and Zara De Rose, among others.
There will be entertainment and a fundraising effort at the event.
