LOS ANGELES — Lisa Ann was interviewed by ABC's "Nightline," where she discussed her career transition from adult film actress to Sirius XM fantasy sports radio co-host.
Ann started doing porn in 1994 and then took a 7-year break in 1997 to do feature dancing. Once she returned, Ann made an effort to mentor an average of 10 to 15 girls a year. She eventually gained mainstream attention for her portrayal of politician Sarah Palin in Hustler Video's 2008 porn parody "Who's Nailin' Paylin?" and was named XBIZ MILF Performer of the Year in 2011.
"It was real. Every performer I had sex with, I wanted to have sex with," Ann said. "I admit that I had so much fun shooting ['Who's Nailin' Paylin?']. I rode that wave from 2008 until 2014. I worked myself to the bone because I knew I could ring that dry."
On Dec. 15, 2014, Ann announced her retirement from the adult industry and interviewed strippers on radio before making her move into fantasy sports.
"People would tell you, 'Once you've done porn, you're never going to get another job,'" she said. "I put it out there and I really still want people to enjoy it because it's such a big part of my life."
She has now become a public figure in the female fantasy sports movement, breaking gender barriers. According to the Fantasy Sports Trade association, women comprise one-third of all fantasy football managers, which marks a 20 percent increase compared to last year. Ann said her fascination with sports began at an early age, when her parents frequently took her to basketball and football games.
"So, Monday nights, my show is 'Lisa Ann Does Fantasy' with my co-host Adam Ronis," Ann said. "And on Thursday mornings, I do a fun show called 'The Morning Men,' and they're not changing the name even though there's a woman involved."
She gave "Nightline" a tour of her home, which is filled with sports paraphernalia and several trophies from her adult film career.
"Here's the thing: I've had to be naked so much of my life that you have to understand how happy I am to get to wear clothes," Ann enthused. "I'm no longer being put in pink, fishnet stockings. I mean, I am absolutely thrilled."
With the rapidly growing popularity of sports betting sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, Ann's radio career shows no signs of slowing down. She also continues to be among the highest rated performers on PornHub, despite her retirement.
