LOS ANGELES — TMZ and People Magazine have reported that actor Charlie Sheen will disclose he is HIV positive on NBC's "Today" show tomorrow, just days after the Daily Mail Online interviewed an unnamed adult film actress who alleged that she had slept with a Hollywood actor who is HIV positive.
Matt Lauer will reportedly sit down with Sheen on Tuesday morning, where NBC says he will make a "revealing personal announcement."
The Free Speech Coalition told XBIZ on Friday that no adult performers in the industry's STI-testing PASS system had tested positive for HIV, despite claims that the Hollywood actor slept with 50 adult performers and transsexuals.
"As far as we're aware, this is just tabloid rumor. No adult performers in the industry's PASS testing system have tested positive," FSC CEO Diane Duke said. "Thanks to the FSC and PASS, adult performers are tested every two weeks for a full slate of STIs, including HIV, making them among the most tested and aware populations on the planet."
