Video: Elite Daily Interviews ‘Vagina Beauty Pageant’ Winners

BERLIN — Elite Daily’s video crew followed Autoblow inventor Brian Sloan around Berlin to find out his motives for creating a vaginal beauty contest and to meet the winners.

In June, the company behind the Autoblow, Very Intelligent Ecommerce Inc. (VIECI), opened its “Vaginal Beauty Pageant” website for women to submit photos of their vaginas for the public to vote on the most attractive. The women attached to the vaginas earning the top three places were promised $5,000, $2,500, and $1,250 respectively in addition to trips to undergo vaginal 3D scanning. The 3D scans would be used to replicate the winners' vaginas onto a new series of Autoblow sleeves.

In the video, Sloan responds to the sexist accusations. “They didn’t call it sexist when dildos were created out of men’s penises.”

Men’s Health U.K. sex columnist Nichi Hodgson also joined Brian Sloan in Berlin, where he went to meet the winners, which coincidentally all lived in Europe and appear anonymously in the video.

“I thought it was really funny and interesting and so I decided to give it a try because I thought that maybe I could do better than these girls,” one of the winners says.

Elite Daily also captured the awkwardness of the 3D scan, which was done by Sloan in a hotel room with the winners’ friends and significant others around for physical and emotional support.

“I have a right to decide what I would like to do with my body, and that is what feminism is about,” a winner says.

In the video Sloan says he has already bought the domains to host online beauty pageants for other body parts.

“I’m excited to start a new wave of amateur genitals on sex toys,” he says.

Elite Daily reports that the sexual wellness industry’s U.S. revenues are estimated at $15 billion with a projected growth to $52 billion by 2020.
