ICM Registry Opens .Sex to the Public

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — ICM Registry, the registry operator for .xxx, .porn, .adult and .sex top-level domains (TLDs) has announced the launch of its general availability period for .sex.

Domain names in all of ICM Registry’s extensions are now available for public purchase. Interested parties can buy available names through registrars listed here.

“With over 20,000 names registered in our new adult TLDs this year and over 4,000 names registered during our special launch programs for .sex, there is clearly a strong interest in these extensions,” said Stuart Lawley, chairman and CEO of ICM Registry. “Considering the success of our previous launch phases, we’re looking forward to .sex becoming accessible to the general public.”

ICM Registry offers adult-industry keyword names as a part of its ongoing Premium Program, including two character premium names in .porn, .adult and .sex.  For the adult industry, premium keywords are now on both sides of the dot in a domain name.

“With porn, adult, sex and xxx keywords searched over 300 million times per month, now is the perfect time to get names that help drive traffic to these exciting domain extensions," Lawley added. "Our extensions bring opportunities for creative brands and companies to experiment with new marketing initiatives and sites by capitalizing on the SEO inherent in our TLDs. It's also a great time to ensure brand consistency throughout all our extensions.”

For the first time, ICM Registry is making internationalized domain names (IDNs) available as second level names in all of its TLDs. Domain names in over twenty languages and scripts from around the world, including German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese are now available for global registration.
