WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration on Friday said it is advising consumers not to purchase or use S.W.A.G.G.E.R Extreme Capsules, a product promoted for sexual enhancement.
The FDA said the product was identified during an examination of international mail shipments and placed later on its black list.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that S.W.A.G.G.E.R Extreme Capsules contain sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA-approved prescription drug Viagra.
The product, however, is billed as being part of the “next generation in herbal male enhancement” on its labeling, which also calls the pills equivalent to “sex with a gun.”
