LOS ANGELES — X-Play on Tuesday announced an Oct. 20 release date for a new parody called "Not Bill Cosby XXX Puddin' My Dick Where it Don't Belong."
Directed by Will Ryder, the title features Cosby in a series of television interviews with a news reporter bent on diving head first into the sexual assault allegations levied by numerous women. The DVD is now available from Pulse Distribution, and head of sales Rob Plarski confirmed pre-orders have been strong.
Thomas Ward, the actor who closely resembles Bill Cosby, reprises his role in the parody. To view the trailer, click here.
"Every day there seems to be more women coming forward claiming he had sex with them," said Ward as he prepared to go on stage with Eddie Griffin at the Rio in Las Vegas. "Cosby should have just paid them girls back in the day. Ain't that the American way?"
"The release of our movie is perfectly timed and we knew it would be a huge selling sex flick because people love scandal," Ryder said. "Bill Cosby is an iconic American figure so this is really a huge story and there seems no end to the parade of sexy women coming forward with their personal stories. I have a lot of sympathy for anybody that is a victim but I'm sure a few of them are just sniffing for cash."
Ryder said he and X-Play "are not assuming or stating that Mr. Cosby is guilty of any crime associated with the public accusations levied against him," rather they are creating "a humorous parody of his life and that of his TV show because that's what they do."
