Bustle.com Lists Highlights of SHE NYC

NEW YORK — Bustle.com covered last weekend’s Sexual Health Expo in New York with five highlights from the upscale consumer event.

In her article “5 Highlights From the Sexual Health Expo, Because This Is What the Future of Sex Looks Like,” Kristen Sollee says, “In true sex-positive fashion, the speakers and exhibitors weren't aggressively pushing some unattainable sexual lifestyle mere mortals can't live up to, nor were they suggesting you should leave enough space between yourself and your partner(s) for the holy spirit lest you risk burning in hell. On the contrary, this unique, upscale convention celebrated the right to safely choose your own sexual adventure, whatever that may be.”

Held Sept. 19-20, SHE welcomed more than 2,500 enthusiastic attendees at the Millennium Broadway Hotel.

Among the highlights of Sollee’s experience was Dr. Zhana Vrangalova’s seminar on “hooking up,” which offered tips on how to have casual sex without being affected emotionally.

Dr. Megan Fleming’s session “Great Life, Great Sex” also made it onto Solle’s top five. The seminar focused on how to balance compromise and exploration, and advised the audience “that meeting in the middle is king, even in sexual situations.”

Sollee also spotlighted some of SHE’s vendors, including Chakrubs — “a company that seamlessly integrates sexuality and spirituality through pleasure products made of 100 percent pure, organic crystal.”

BlewIt, a new product for men, also was highlighted. “Although my anatomical makeup won't allow me to use this bad boy properly, even putting a finger inside the device was enough to get an idea for how much it feels like real deal lady parts, complete with the pull of pelvic floor muscles,” Sollee said.

Jimmyjane, which showcased its Hello Touch X — one of its latest “sleek, sex tech innovations” — at SHE, also was a highlight of the event. According to Sollee, “no matter how much stimulation and vibration your body requires, this device will give you way more than you bargained for.”
