Williams Trading University Awards 18,000 e-Learning Certifications

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Veteran adult distributor Williams Trading Co.’s e-Learning program, Williams Trading University (WTU), has exceeded 18,000 successful course certifications across the domestic U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.

Williams Trading says that at the rate of course development and participation, WTU is poised to surpass 20,000 course certifications by year end.

WTU is a free e-Learning program available exclusively to existing and new Williams Trading Co. accounts. Online courses are available 24 hours/7 days per week accessed with a login account. Each course offers product benefits and features as well as a seminar that explains its importance to a customer, their needs and well-being.

“Currently, the WTU catalog includes 63 courses and, on average, we develop two new modules per month,” said Erin V., WTU’s content developer. “We support WTU learners with weekly Cyberscholar email blasts notifying them of course availability, product raffles and contests, exclusively available to Williams’ customers.”

Upon completing a course, the user takes a quiz certifying their newfound knowledge and is rewarded with a downloadable certificate. Select participating vendors offer free premiums, samples and special offers. The feature, the company says, is an added benefit to the retailer as their employees can try a product, become a consumer and ultimately recommend it to their customers.

“Eighty four percent of our top retail accounts have experienced a lift in sales on the retail floor without an additional price off or sale incentive,” said Scott D., Williams Trading’s director of sales and marketing. “WTU continues to receive industry accolades and retailer testimonials supporting our commitment to retailer education."

WTU monthly prize drawings are often in sync when a manufacturer is running a Williams Trading inventory sale, the company said.

“We want to thank our participating vendors who believe in retail education and worked diligently to offer courses that have proven to lift sales,” said Bob Pyne Jr., president and CEO Williams Trading Co. “WTU is an industry game changer and I am proud to offer it to all of our customers free of charge.”
