“It is our deepest sorrow to announce that one of the most outstanding and recognized models in the bodybuilding and fitness industry, Rob Sager, has passed away this weekend due to heart failure,” said a representative from Artuli Media, a bodybuilding photography studio. “We have had the pleasure and honor of working with Rob during his flourishing years and valued him not just as a model, but also as a good friend.”
Before appearing in gay films, the Houston-born Mycles was a working muscle and fitness model who appeared in the International Male clothing catalog, Muscle & Fitness magazine and Men’s Health. Mycles competed in the professional Arnold Bodybuilding Classic in 1999 where he met photographer Irvin Gelb who convinced him to start modeling.
“Everyone I’ve ever known to have worked with him has had nothing but wonderful things to say about him,” gay porn publicist Jason Sechrest said. “He was truly special. From his generosity and work ethic to his stunningly beautiful form, he was a favorite of both fans and industry insiders and will be incredibly missed.”
