Mullen told XBIZ the latest news-making event from Spears, in which the pop star landed headlines around the globe for shaving her head bald, only helps the franchise stay current.
“Britney Spears is not going away,” Mullen said. “We can continue to develop ideas around her and have fun. I only hope that this recent outburst doesn’t give our Britney Rears a bad name.”
Mullen added that he would have a pair of hair clippers on hand in case Scott wanted to add some extra realism to the spoof by cutting her hair.
Scott dismissed the notion of cutting her hair, calling the idea crazy.
In the latest installment of the series, Mullen said fans would once again be surprised by the film, with “Britney Rears 4” featuring gonzo-style content.
“We always want to keep the audience guessing,” Mullen said. “No back-to-back volumes from the series will ever be the same.”
Director Will Rider said “Britney Rears 4” would showcase Scott’s sex ability.
“Fans of Hillary Scott and all Britney fans will love this next ‘Britney Rears’ movie,” Rider said. “It’s totally different from all of the other Britney movies so far because Britney goes gonzo.”
Scott, who is coming off recent accolades for her performance in the Sex Z Pictures title “Corruption,” will join Daisy Marie, Sativa Rose, Kissy Kapri, Jamie Elle, Sierra Sin and Veronique Vega in “Britney Rears 4,” which is slated for release in late spring.
Mullen said the film also features a special surprise guest star.
“Britney Rears 4: Britney Goes Gonzo” is the first title in the series that X-Play will release without ties to Hustler or VCA, giving the company complete control of the franchise. The series is distributed by LFP.
