LOS ANGELES — Porn Star Karaoke received a feature article in Column One of the Los Angeles Times today.
With the print headline, "They're natural porn trillers - Adult stars (fully clothed) belt out karaoke at a Burbank strip mall bar," writer Hailey Branson-Potts takes readers inside Sardo's Grill & Lounge, the neighborhood bar that has hosted the weekly event for the past 12 years.
"It really is a family," longtime emcee Nicki Hunter tells the Times. "We get to know each other pretty personally on set. I mean, we're kind of having sex with each other. There are special bonds and relationships that you end up creating. And in the older days, it was much more of that."
Sardo's, owned by Seymour Satin, reopened in April after a kitchen fire shuttered the establishment for almost three months.
