VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films has chosen the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) as its July charity contribution on behalf of Christopher Ruth, the company's PR and marketing representative.
The legal and educational organization is dedicated to advancing and protecting the rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and will receive a $1,000 check from Girlfriends Films.
“The Constitution and First Amendment are what protect Girlfriends Films and allow it to continue to produce high quality erotic content for consenting adults,” Ruth said. “My selection of Center for Constitution Rights is a result of our need to give back to the great system ensuring our freedoms.”
Girlfriends noted that CCR employs litigation, education, and advocacy to advance the law in a positive direction, to empower poor communities and communities of color, to guarantee the rights of those with the fewest protections and least access to legal resources, to train the next generation of constitutional and human rights attorneys, and to strengthen the broader movement for social justice. Its work began on behalf of civil rights activists in the 1960's, and since then CCR has lent its expertise and support to virtually every popular progressive movement.
“Thank you to Moose, Dan, and everyone at Girlfriends Films for the opportunity to select the charity of the month,” Ruth added. “The Girlfriends Films Charity Program is one of the many ways Girlfriends Films is making the adult industry, and the world, a better place.”
