LOS ANGELES — Jenna Jameson has been cast in "Limelight," a new indie drama about chasing fame in Tinseltown, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The report said the film follows a small-town, social media obsessed narcissist and his journey to Hollywood.
"Jameson plays a cold-blooded, high-powered publicist who manipulates the lead character Miles (Paul Vandervort) after he comes to Hollywood," THR reported.
The film is being produced by Vandervort Entertainment Inc. and directed by James Cullen Bressack, known mostly for his work in the horror genre, according to THR.
The former porn superstar Jameson, who retired in 2008, became a household name during her career as an actress, producer, director and company owner. She is credited with helping to pioneer adult's crossover to mainstream pop culture.
When she hosted the 2014 XBIZ Awards in Los Angeles, it was her first appearance at an industry event in nearly six years.
