WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration today issued a new advisory warning for the penis pill brand Extreme Diamond 3000.
The FDA says distributors of Extreme Diamond 3000 claim that the ingredients are "all natural" but laboratory analysis confirmed the pills were found to contain desmethyl carbodenafil and dapoxetine, which when combined are structured similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in the prescription Viagra.
All of the pills were sold at brick-and-mortar retail shops and on the web at now-defunct site LibidoShops.com
“Dapoxetine is an active ingredient not approved by FDA, and therefore its safety and efficacy have not been established,” the FDA said.
The FDA said that consumers should stop using this product immediately; patients are encouraged to report adverse events or side effects related to the use of the product to the FDA.
