OWENSBORO, Ky. — A Corbin Fisher performer who worked under the name Clay in at least three scenes died this month of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Local NBC affiliate WECT reported that the apparent suicide occurred on April 5 after an incident at Ninki's Japanese Restaurant, where he worked as a server.
“Employees at the restaurant said two workers were fighting before the shooting,” the WECT report said. “We're told [Clay] was fired after making threats. About 15 minutes later, employees say [Clay] drove by in his car and fired five shots at the building. No one was hurt.
“Officials tell us he was found later that evening in Butler County with a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the WECT report said.
Clay died at a hospital in nearby Bowling Green.
