Queer Porn Film Festival Debuts in NYC This April

BROOKLYN, NY — The first-ever Queer Porn Film Festival will take place April 19 in Brooklyn, with adult filmmakers Stoya, Jiz Lee, Courtney Trouble, April Flores, Tobi Hill-Meyer, Chelsea Poe and Papi Coxxx all confirmed as hosts, panelists and presenters.

The film festival will highlight “obscure underground smut, important moments in queer smut history, established adult director master works, obscene feminist manifestos, lost footage, experiments, glossy hollywood crossover hits, and even a few world premieres, including Stoya’s ‘Graphic Depictions,’” according to a release.

Curated as a visual guide to the scope of the queer erotic movement and its brightest stars, films will be screened in the form of one “mix tape,” with no film lasting longer than 15 minutes.

Kicking off the festival is Porn and Pancakes: brunch at a secret cafe paired with” delicious” queer adult cinema, including Stoya’s “Graphic Depictions,” starring Jiz Lee, who will also be in attendance.

Workshops and panels will include a performer panel, skill shares, political discussions and director Q&As with confirmed guests Papi Coxxx and April Flores, who will be in town to premiere a scene from her own directorial debut, “Fat Girl Fantasies.”

The after party will include a live public porn shoot starring queer favorites Courtney Trouble and Tobi Hill-Meyer, where the viewers become the filmmakers, and a queer porn open mic where event goers can screen their own short adult films (with Chelsea Poe and some yet-to-be-announced guest DJs).

“The Queer Porn Film Festival has been built on values centering trans-feminism, accessibility, intentionality and community-based social justice,” a release stated. “The events and films shown will reflect that foundation through careful curation and thoughtful party planning in the hope this event serves as a starting point for others to get involved in queer feminist art and sex positive community.”
