LOS ANGELES — Adult retailer The Pleasure Chest is introducing new positions and making staffing changes to better address the company’s growth.
These changes reflect The Pleasure Chest’s commitment to meeting the unique needs of its individual locations, including its expanding web store, while maintaining a united vision for the brand, the company said Friday.
Sarah Tomchesson, the current Director of Business Development and Strategy, will be assuming the title of Head of Business Operations, a position that incorporates The Pleasure Chest’s brand strategy into her current responsibilities, which have been largely focused on national operations.
The Head of Business Operations is the key leadership position in the organization, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business as well as short and long-term business development initiatives, and strategic partnerships that ensure the Pleasure Chest’s continued growth and profitability.
Karen Jackson, currently the National Inventory Manager, will be assuming the new role of Director of Information Systems. The position’s focus is to maintain effective IT and information systems, oversee E-commerce initiatives and central distribution operations, provide strategic internal analysis, and maintain a comprehensive content strategy across all customer touch points.
Robin Jennings will continue to bring her expertise to the Pleasure Chest’s purchasing department as Buying and Merchandising Manager. She will be assuming the coordination of Pleasure Chest’s monthly promotions and product ordering, which will position her as the main contact within the organization for Pleasure Chest’s vendor partners.
Sarah Sloane, the Chicago Store Manager, will be taking on the role of National Training and Development Coordinator in addition to her existing position. Her focus in this role is to coordinate and expand the internal training and education program nationwide with a focus on the continued growth of Pleasure Chest Sex Specialists, who work to set the Pleasure Chest apart in education and luxury sales.
“We are experiencing a lot of exciting growth at The Pleasure Chest, and we are committed to more,” said The Pleasure Chest owner Brian Robinson. “We have always been a leader in sex education and providing our customers with a specialized experience they cannot find elsewhere. Our people have been a key component of what sets us apart. We are in a great position right now to continue to develop our talented team and expect that these changes will energize and strengthen the organization.”
