The VCX Exclusive Edition was released Jan. 2006, along with another one of Howard’s Command Cinema titles “Babylon Pink,” which also was nominated.
“This is our first AVN award in several years, and we share it with all the other classic companies that have survived and helped to demonstrate how popular these gems from the 70s and 80s really are,” VCX President David Sutton said. “Cecil Howard deserves recognition for being an absolute master of the adult feature. This award would not have been possible if not for the absolute perfection he demanded in his films, as well as the manner in which he has preserved the masters.”
Sutton expressed regret that his dad, Rudy Sutton, wasn’t alive to share in the joy of receiving the award with him. Rudy passed away one month ago.
