Conceived and directed by Village Voice columnist Tristan Taormino, “Chemistry,” was released in 2006 by Vivid Entertainment. “Chemistry 2” is being released this month.
Taormino, who was covering the ceremony for The Village Voice, was on hand to receive her award. “I was completely shocked,” she said.
The award was one of several picked up by Vivid and Vivid-distributed studios in the AVN competition. Other wins included Best Editing – Film for “Jenna’s Provocateur,” Best Interactive DVD for “Virual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone,” Best Sex Scene Coupling – Film for Janine and Manuel Ferrara in “Emperor,” and Best Supporting Actor – Film for Kurt Lockwood in “To Die For.”
