The Japanese company Segment Inc. unveiled its Virtual-Hole and Virtual-Stick toys that enable interactive real-time virtual sex, alone or with a partner. The Virtual-Hole — a soft vagina-like hole encased in a bowling-pin-shaped shell — has nine motors to simulate mouth, hand and insertion sensation.
The Virtual-Stick is shaped true to its name and has sensors that detect changes in pressure and location instantly. Both devices hook up to a computer and allow users to control the intensity of their partner’s toy during play. Both products are video compatible and their functions synchronize exactly to whatever the user is watching, whether it’s a DVD, streaming video or a television program.
Another new product showcased this year is the talk2me, an audio-responsive vibrator released by Soft Labs that picks up the frequencies of a lover’s voice, a television show or song and sends them to various vibrating motors in the device. Bass tones vibrate through the phallic-shaped piece, while treble tones buzz through the attached clitoral stimulator.
Also new to the market is the Boditalk, from the married-couple-inventors of OhMiBod. This vibrator turns on the instant a corresponding cellphone rings and buzzes steadily until the receiver chooses to hang up.
And finally, giving dental hygiene a new look, is the Celebrator, a smooth rounded extension that attaches to any electric toothbrush and turns the vibrating wand into a sex toy. It’s described as simple and effective, and perfectly sanitary.
