‘Women in Porn’ Panel Debate to Be Held at XBIZ 360

LOS ANGELES — Following two spirited and well-attended online events, the MindBrowse.com “Women in Porn” debate series is coming to XBIZ 360 next month.

"Women in Porn: Shattering the Myths" is an interactive panel discussion that brings prominent individuals working in the adult entertainment industry together to debate the nature of women’s’ changing roles and issues that currently confront the industry.

Two prior debates have been aired live on MindBrowse, which is a production created by the operators of Sssh.com. The upcoming event will be held before an audience of XBIZ 360 attendees, with a live broadcast on MindBrowse alongside social media coverage.

Slated for 1 p.m. on Jan. 14, the “Women in Porn” panel will include two participants from prior MindBrowse debates: Penthouse Managing Director Kelly Holland and author/attorney Frederick Lane.

MindBrowse and Sssh have announced a newcomer to the event, director/performer Courtney Trouble. A fourth, soon-to-be-announced panelist will join Holland, Lane and Trouble in the discussion, which will be moderated by sociologist Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals.

“We’ve had two outstanding discussions in the ‘Women in Porn’ series thus far, and we expect the session at XBIZ 360 to be our best yet,” said Sssh.com’s Angie Rowntree, who produces all MindBrowse events. “Having a live audience in the room will lead to a more robust discussion, and possibly some points of view we haven’t heard in previous shows. This promises to be an entertaining and enlightening event.”

During the discussion, the panel will be assisted by “celebrity tweeters” who will spur Twitter users by contributing their own observances and perspectives on the debate. The event organizers believe this will help create an active Twitter discussion and make the Twitter feed as interesting to watch as the live broadcast itself.

Rowntree said the identities of the celebrity tweeters will be announced weekly during the month of December.

Lauren MacEwen of 7veils.com noted that the event marks the third part in the ongoing "Women in Porn" live Twitter chat series.

In addition to being broadcast on MindBrowse.com, the event will be live tweeted on @SexTalkTuesday.

“Not only will we have the debate between our panelists, but we will also have questions and contributions from our live audience and our Twitter audience,” she said.

Commenting on the addition of the celebrity tweeters, Lauren added, “This has the potential to drive more controversy or hilarity, depending on their perspectives, as they contribute to the overall discussion. The multi-platform nature of this event creates a diverse channel of communication, making this event more robust and diverse than any event of its kind.”XBIZ 360 will take over the entire property of Hollywood’s Andaz Hotel Jan. 13-16 for seven separate events specifically tailored to explore every facet of the multibillion-dollar adult industry.

XBIZ 360 is known for its cutting-edge, individually tailored seminars and panel discussions and innumerable networking opportunities with business leaders from all over the world and from all segments of the business.

The XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference schedule will cover the latest trends concerning the online industry with seminars dedicated to interactive technology, mobile, traffic trends and the future of adult digital entertainment.

The conference will conclude with a special “Visionary Keynote” by Utherverse CEO and founder Brian Shuster, an industry luminary and noted technologist.

XBIZ 360’s unique format is designed to unify the industry with overlapping schedules and several intermixed special events to maximize business opportunities.

Among the many highly anticipated special events being held during XBIZ 360 is the 2015 XBIZ Executive Awards, honoring outstanding career achievements in a variety of prominent career fields within the adult industry.

The series of events culminate with the star-studded 2015 XBIZ Awards show, presented by Fleshlight and hosted by James Deen at the JW Marriott LA Live in downtown Los Angeles on Jan 15.

The Andaz Hotel is currently sold out for the duration of XBIZ 360. For alternate hotel options, click here.
