LOS ANGELES — Girlfriends Films and its partner studios have received a combined 63 nominations for the 2015 XBIZ Awards, including 14 for Girlfriends Films’ lesbian content, 27 for Skow for Girlfriends Films, and 22 for the studios Girlfriends Films distributes.
“Each year we’ve seen an increase in our nominations for the XBIZ Awards, which is a great validation for the continual hard work and dedication to quality from the entire Girlfriends Films team,” said Girlfriends Films President Moose.
“We are on a positive trajectory in regards to the high-end content we produce and distribute, spanning a variety of platforms, as well our customer service and business practices. Thank you to everyone at XBIZ for the honors.”
Noteworthy nominations include: two for All-Girl Release of the Year (“Me and My Girlfriend 8,” “Women Seeking Women 100”), three for All-Girl Series of the Year (Tammy Sands’ “Me and My Girlfriend,” “Mother-Daughter Exchange Club,” “Women Seeking Women”), Director of the Year – Body of Work (B. Skow), Studio of the Year (Girlfriends Films), Progressive Studio of the Year (Skow for Girlfriends Films), Adult Site of the Year – Studio (GFFMemebers.com), Girl/Girl Performer of the Year (Prinzzess), and Distributor of the Year (Girlfriends Films).
Nominated studios distributed by Girlfriends Films include Hustler Video, Reign Productions, Desire Films, Mental Beauty, Inc., Viv Thomas, and AGW Entertainment. Mental Beauty and Desire Films are each in the running for Best New Studio, while Viv Thomas is up for European Studio of the Year. AGW’s “Angela,” showcasing Angela White, is up for All-Sex Release of the Year, as is Mental Beauty’s “BonnieLand: A Gangbang Fantasy,” showcasing Bonnie Rotten.

At the 2014 XBIZ Awards, Girlfriends Films claimed the All-Girl Series of the Year award for the third year in a row — Tammy Sands’ “Me and My Girlfriend” took home the honor. Also, Skow for Girlfriends Films’ “Truth Be Told” received a Best Actress award for Marie McCray’s performance.
The XBIZ Awards will be held January 15 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.
