OAKLAND, Calif. — Feelmore owner Nenna announced that she is participating in the AIDS/LifeCycle 2015 annual 7-day, 545 mile bike ride with more than 2500 bicyclists traveling on May 31, 2015 from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Nenna said she decided to participate after seeing firsthand the start and finish line for ALC. “The spirit of volunteerism is strong within ALC and I look forward to being apart of its continued legacy of solutions."
The ride supports AIDS/HIV, and also Hepatitis C which affect people of color at alarming rates. The goal set by Nenna is $10,000 which must be raised in order to participate.
“I set a huge goal to make it intentionally uncomfortable for me. It’s not easy for individuals living with AIDS/HIV/Hepatitis C, so why should the process to participate be any easier? I’m excited yet somber to do my part in this incredible event,” Nenna said.
To date, vendors Honey’s Place, Holiday Products and Eldorado have donated. “Those donations were the start and made me light up when they came through especially the monetary support from Ken and Melissa (Holiday Products). This fundraising effort is to help end AIDS/HIV/Hepatitis C is 100 percent tax deductible.
